On 18th January 2025 Neethi Vedhi organized a meeting regarding the dropout of tribal students from schools at M G T hall, Kalpetta. Mr Biju Kakkathod welcomed the participants. Adv. Fr. Stephen Mathew, President, Neethi Vedhi presided over the meeting. Mr E.G Joseph, retired Joint Director, Tribal welfare department, delivered the keynote address. Ms. Valsala, Kalpatta Municipality Counselor felicitated the participants. It was followed by sharing by different participants regarding their experiences and the conflicts they have undergone while promoting the students to go regularly to schools. It was decided to identify and train volunteers from possible hamlets, to form a model network in connection with the schools where a large number of tribal students study and to organize awareness classes for parents about the importance of education. 49 persons from different parts of the district participated in the program.
